This week on My Greenville Home Radio, Dan is talking with Tracy Penland, a Personal Trainer and the General Manager of 9 Round Fitness’s corporate offices here in Greenville. 9 Round Fitness is in 20 countries around the world, but most people don’t realize it was started right here in Greenville in 2008. Tracy started kickboxing at 9 Round in 2013 and has loved the community aspect of her job. 9 Round’s mission is to make members stronger in 30 minutes physically and mentally.
9 Round’s original location is on Butler Road and there are four other locations in Greenville for you to choose from. As the General Manager, it is Tracy’s job to train each location’s personal trainers, help members achieve their goals, and build relationships in the community.
What is 9 Round and what makes it different?
At 9 Round, no kickboxing experience (or any fitness experience!) is required. The 30-minute kickboxing HIIT workout will be customized to your experience level. Additionally, there are no class times. A trainer is on hand at all times to walk you through the day’s exercises, so you don’t have to worry about changing schedules or traffic keeping you from the gym.
9 Round is open to people of all ages. Many parents bring their children along to take part in the workouts. Young children may come to the gym with different goals than their parents, but Tracy and her fellow trainers’ job is to meet you where you are and help you achieve your personal goals.
