How did the idea for Chestnut come about?
Brandi and her husband Jon started this entrepreneurial journey 6 years ago with Chestnut Living, a construction and renovation business. The couple loves incorporating old, sentimental items into new builds, traveling as far as Texas to source their antiques.
On one of their long trips to Texas, Brandi expressed her lifelong dream of opening a coffee shop. She, like many Upstate residents, felt she had to drive downtown for quality, local coffee and wanted to establish a shop on the eastside of Greenville. Brandi and Jon’s vision of creating a home where people feel loved and welcomed transitioned seamlessly from Chestnut Living to Chestnut Coffee, their upscale yet casual community shop in Hollingsworth Park.
At Chestnut, you can purchase everything from coffee and ice cream to local artisan goods. All the products in Brandi and Jon’s curated shop is local and free of artificial dyes. You can enjoy Chestnut Coffee at one of two locations: Hollingsworth Park or the newly opened location on East Curtis Street in Simpsonville.
