Greenville, SC Featured on 60 Minutes

Greenville’s influx of American workers seeking flexible careers and affordable housing has earned the city accolades such as Top 3 Remote Work City and nicknames like “Zoom Town.” More recently, the migration has caught the interest of one of the most successful shows on broadcast television – 60 Minutes.

This week on 60 minutes, Bill Whitaker and his team interviewed a group of small business owners in Greenville including Carl Sobocinski (Table 301 Group), James Jordon (Jordon Construction Company) and Kenzie Biggins (Worxbee). Each business owner spoke to the unique challenges they have faced during this shift in employee expectations and subsequent resignations.

The Great Resignation – or as the 60 Minutes segment dubbed it, “The Big Quit” – has benefitted Greenville in many ways, but the city is not immune to the employment challenges facing the rest of the nation.
