    Description

SHORT SALE - MAKE OFFER - NO HOA - Privacy - 2 Acres to Play! One level ranch, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 car garage, 2 acres, great room with fireplace, formal living room, formal dining room, french doors to private backyard. New Roof 2016 and more. The sellers says: "One of the things I always loved about this ranch house growing up, is that in an era before "Open Floor Plans was a thing, this house had an open floor plan. The kitchen, living room, dining room, and den each felt like their own distinct room, but they collectively had an open flow and feel to them. The kitchen/living room area was large enough that we had a pool table and my house was the gathering spot many nights. Having two distinct living areas was also a bonus. Often, I would be shooting pool with my friends in the living room, while my sister and her friends were watching TV and movies in the den. Yet both were close enough for quick trips to the kitchen for snacks or drinks. Then to contrast the openness of the living areas, all the bedrooms, including the master bedroom which has a private bathrm were, "down the hall. It was an easy escape. To have our own space, away from the noise and commotion. I am an outdoor person by nature, so I also loved the floor to ceiling windows along the front of the house. The orientation of the house always allowed lots of natural light, helping to contribute to the light and open feel of the house in general. Most nights the family sat around the kitchen table, but when family or friends would come over the dining room would provide plenty of extra seating. Yet it was close enough to the kitchen that serving and clean-up, and even conversation between the two, was a breeze. But what I loved more than the house, was the location. It was so perfect, in so many ways. While only a couple miles from town, we were still far enough out to not feel crowded. To feel like we had our own space. Then, as now, we were only a five-minute drive from the schools, grocery stores, ball fields, and playgrounds. In 20-30 minutes I could be hiking at Table Rock, swimming on Lake Keowee, tailgating at Death Valley, or walking through downtown Greenville. I did not appreciate it as much growing up, but now that convenience to such diversity is staggering. The biggest testament to the town and community however, is that in 50 years, we never felt the need to lock the doors to the house. Truth be told, we had to hunt down the keys and try them out before even handing them over to the realtor. It truly is the lifestyle of living in Mayberry, but with the jobs and conveniences of the big city only 20-30 minutes away. Call today to start making memories like these in your new home.
